This policy explains how LearnWell Educational Evaluations & Development LLC (“LearnWell,” “we” or “us”) collects, uses and protects information when you visit our website or contact us. We’ve tried to keep it short and in plain English.
Who we are
LearnWell is an educational evaluation and support practice in Midland, Texas, owned by Audrey McKelvey, Educational Diagnostician. You can reach us at 432-219-4304 or learnwelltx@gmail.com.
What we collect
- Information you send us. When you use our contact form or an intake or feedback form, we receive what you enter, such as your name, email address, phone number and a brief note about your concern.
- Emails and calls. When you email or call us, we keep a record of the conversation so we can follow up.
- Payment information. Card payments are processed by Stripe. Your card number goes directly to Stripe; we do not store card numbers. We receive basic payment details, such as your name, the amount and the date.
- Website analytics and cookies. Our website runs on Squarespace, which uses cookies and similar tools to operate the site and give us basic visitor statistics, such as which pages are viewed. Squarespace may also collect technical information, such as your IP address and browser type, for site operation and statistics. These are the only site analytics we use; we don’t use Google Analytics. You can manage cookies in your browser settings.
How we use it
- To respond to your questions and consultation requests
- To schedule appointments
- To provide evaluations, dyslexia intervention, IEP and FIE reviews for parents, and related services
- To bill for services and process payments
- To bill the Texas Education Freedom Account (TEFA) program and keep the records it requires, for families who use TEFA funds
- To keep our website working and improve it
- To meet our legal, tax and professional obligations
Student evaluation records
Evaluation results, reports and other student records are confidential. We keep them separately from website and contact-form information and handle them according to professional confidentiality standards. We share them only with the written consent of the student’s parent or legal guardian, or when required by law or by TEFA program requirements.
Please don’t send diagnoses, records or other sensitive details through our website forms. We’ll collect what we need securely during intake.
We don’t sell your information
We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not share it with other businesses for their marketing.
Service providers
We use a small number of service providers to run our practice. They receive only the information they need to do their job:
- Squarespace: website hosting, website forms and site statistics
- Google: email, and Google Fonts for the website’s fonts
- Jotform: intake and testimonial forms
- Stripe: payment processing
- Odyssey, the TEFA program administrator: TEFA billing and records, for families who use TEFA funds
Each provider handles information under its own privacy policy.
Children’s privacy
Our website is meant for parents, guardians and other adults. We don’t knowingly collect personal information online directly from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information through the site, please contact us and we will handle it as required by law. Information about a student that a parent or guardian provides for services is handled as described under Student evaluation records.
Security and retention
We use reasonable safeguards, such as password-protected accounts and limited access, to protect the information we hold. No website or online service is completely secure, so we can’t guarantee absolute security. We keep records as required by law, our professional record-keeping obligations and TEFA program rules. When records are no longer required, we securely dispose of them.
Your choices
You can ask to see or correct the personal information we hold about you by contacting us at learnwelltx@gmail.com or 432-219-4304. We’ll respond within a reasonable time. We keep records, including contact information, as required by law and by our professional record-keeping obligations.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we’ll post the new version on this page and update the effective date.
